ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO EAT OR DRINK 8 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR SURGERY APPOINTMENT
NO SMOKING OR VAPING OF ANY FORM FOR AT LEAST 48 HOURS BEFORE YOUR SURGERY APPOINTMENT
- Begin antibacterial mouth rinse (Stella Life) 2 days before your surgery appointment. An alternative to Stella Life rinse is a warm salt water rinse.
- Continue your daily medications like normal unless instructed otherwise by Dr. Hill. Any medications taken the morning of surgery MUST be taken at least 2 hours before surgery with SMALL sips of water. DO NOT exceed 30 ml (1 ounce).
- Pre-op medication prescribed by Dr. Hill should be taken as directed.
- Do not wear contact lenses.
- Remove any fingernail polish, gel or acrylic nails, and facial piercings.
- Wear a short-sleeve shirt or a shirt with sleeves that can be rolled completely up.
- Remember that you WILL NOT be able to drive or operate machinery for a minimum of 24 hours following surgery.
- Do not chew gum prior to a surgery appointment.
ALL SURGERY PATIENTS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A RESPONSIBLE ADULT WHO REMAINS IN THE OFFICE FOR THE DURATION OF THE APPOINTMENT.
Electronic devices are not allowed in the surgery room.
